A bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth which alleviates the stresses on the teeth on either side of the space.

Unlike a partial denture which is removable for hygiene purposes a bridge is known as a fixed partial denture because it is cemented to place.

Your home care is critical to the long term success of a bridge as it cannot be removed for cleaning purposes and the teeth are attached so normal flossing is not possible.
